Morgan Dane lived life on the edge as a member of the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force; hunting criminals was in her blood. Step in Carmen Maria, the one person to make sure Morgan Dane makes this partnership work with Adam Cabrera on and off the field. Follow the intrigue, suspense and light comedy of this novel of love and hate to find out the twists, turns and events leading up to the perfect match for these displaced team members.

I loved this book. I was on the edge of my seat for two days trying to figure out who was behind the corruption and mayhem. Interestingly enough while I was trying to figure out the " whodunit", I never lost focus on the romance which stayed central to the story; that takes talent. The pace, content, realism and the romance were all so well done.

The tension between FBI agents Morgan and Adam was enough to burn the pages of my kindle. I enjoyed the realistic situations and honest up to date dialogue. I felt like Adam and Morgan talking could be my firends. The supporting cast was strong and helped to carry the story. Carmen kept it real with both Adam and Morgan. While I could never be best buds with my former lover I like how the author dealt with those feelings in the story (Morgan was a better woman than me). Adam stayed true to the very end. We need more men like him.

I liked this was a full length novel. It allowed the chemistry to develop and you did not feel like they feel in love too soon. This is a book I would read again as I am certain there were details I missed as I was "white knuckling" it throughout the story.

Finding love on the job is unexpected for H/h. It's amusing how FBI agents Adam & Morgan met and their back & forth banter. Morgan finally gives into loving Adam and so do I. Like Morgan's spunk and determination to succeed. Like Adam's patience (with a capital P) with Morgan. Too bad more depth was not given to Adam & his personal struggles. Despite obstacles H/h found true love.

The crime to be solved by a team of FBI agents is so confusing that it actually held my interest. I felt like there was a team meeting that I the reader didn't attend because there wasn't enough told to pull the story together. In a dragged out way there is closure but with loose ends.

Overall this book is okay but serious warning, lots of incomplete words & editing errors equals bumpy reading.

I noticed Adam in his attempt to make new female friends meets three women who became obsessed with him. I love what Morgan told Gia so she would step away from Adam. On the other hand, Morgan has only one certified stalker in Agent Paul. That's a total of 4 loonies in one story. What are the odds?

Below are some tactics and actions by the agents that made me go hmmm

* Why are Morgan & Adam gallivanting as usual around town when they are on a hit list instead of being at a safe house? Sadly a by-stander was killed.

* Why did Agent Paul leave Morgan before Jackson was secured?

* When Adam said he "volunteered to let Agent Fritz shoot at him and it's a good thing he was shooting blanks." was he talking about the ambush at the bar that Morgan's ex (coincidentally) had just bought? What was the purpose of faking an attempted murder on Adam? More details pleassse.

* What was the deal with Paul saying he couldn't swim and that's why he didn't jump in the water to save Morgan? Later in Miami he asked Morgan to go for a swim--at night. Then even later on he admitted to the team that he can swim and would not have let Morgan die. Say what? Paul is so casual about a fellow agent's life, and Adam had to be restrained since he saved Morgan while Paul just stared in the water. Strangely no one else in the meeting got upset with Adam, and Talbert the team lead didn't reprimand or report Paul. Good thing Morgan wasn't there or I would have helped her kick Paul's butt!

* What's up with creepy stalker Agent Paul taking leave in the middle of a huge murder case so he can follow Morgan who's with Adam in Miami? He comes up on Morgan at times when Adam isn't around trying to get lovey-dovey. Most creepy and frightening of all was Paul broke into Morgan's hotel room KNOWING she's in there. Ha! Paul didn't count on Adam being with Morgan in her room making love otherwise I fear Paul would have forced himself on Morgan. Later on Paul even told Morgan & Adam about the B&E, claimed he only heard and didn't see them making love and explaining that he wanted to check on Morgan's safety since she's on a hit list. How about knocking on the door a** h***? Morgan & Adam suspect Paul's the inside mole sent to kill them, but they don't get security placed on themselves and don't get Paul called back to his Detroit office to be reprimanded. Paul gets away with murder (no pun intended) in this story.

* Why is the FBI having such a hard time finding & capturing Jackson when agents have infiltrated his organization AND knows one agent has betrayed them and has been working for Jackson for 10 years?

There's more stuff that makes no sense, but my head hurts so 'nuf said. I'm done.
At the beginning of Law and Disorder, Morgan Dane is a dedicated member of Ohio Law Enforcement who doesn't believe in love. Her new partner, Agent Adam Cabrera, feels he has the insight into every female agent he's ever met. They all have bad attitudes with chips on their shoulders. There's enough friction up front between Morgan and Adam to cause problems but it only adds some spicy give and dicey take to the story. Not only that, but both agents are embroiled in a high profile case to catch a drug dealer. If you've read Ms. Brown's other books she finds balance with the budding love between Morgan and Adam while adding humor and giving us plenty of action and suspense. If you like strong independent female characters, hot men around six-two, and a realistic portrayal of their falling in love throw in a clever plotline, you'll love Law and Disorder.
First of all, the storyline was really good. It kept you guessing on who was behind the different parts and who was behind the overall scheme. I loved the rapport between the H and h, and also between some of the secondary characters like Carmen and Benson. There were many times that I actually laughed out loud at the dialogue in the story, but there were other times I was practically on the edge of my seat wishing I could read faster to find out what happened next. In fact, after reading this, it really felt more like a movie -- the length of the book and the twists and turns it takes reminds me of a full-length action thriller, rather than a 50minute long L&O type show.

I only had 2 complaints about this book. The first one is that the story was long and in depth, and I felt like it was dragging in some places. There were a few places that loose ends start being tied up; it would have been easy to finish the story there and give the H and h their HEA, but instead, the situation was just manipulated to allow the story to continue. The second problem I had was the proofreading and editing. For example, there was one point where the h says to H "there wasn't a sole around when we got here." I'm sorry, but does the author mean a fish or a foot? Because that's not how you spell the word that means spirit. I know it sounds nitpicky, but mistakes like that are what separates big publishing company books from self-published books written by weekend warriors.

Overall, I gave the book 4 stars because I felt like the good storyline and the price (FREE when I got it) balanced out the parts that were a little draggy and the lack of editing.
